Species Requests

Customers may request one or multiple species during the custom design process. Requests are reviewed after submission and before materials are reserved.

Availability Review

Wood choices shown in the builder represent visual direction only. Specific species, grain figure, tone, and board dimensions are subject to sourcing conditions.

Substitution Approval

If a requested species is unavailable or unsuitable for the build, we will propose alternative woods with a similar tone, grain, or performance profile. No substitution is finalized without customer approval.

Natural Variation

Even within the same species, grain movement, mineral streaking, knots, and color shift can vary significantly. These natural variations are part of handcrafted woodwork.

Quote Impact

Rare, imported, or hard-to-source woods may increase project cost and lead time. Revised pricing is confirmed before production begins.
