What does the Custom Builder actually do?
The Custom Builder collects your tabletop specifications — dimensions, wood species, resin style, finish, and optional add-ons — and generates a detailed quote request. It does not process payment. After you submit, we review your build, confirm availability, and send you a Stripe invoice for deposit approval.
Can I choose any combination of wood species?
Yes, within availability. We source a wide range of domestic and exotic hardwoods including walnut, maple, cherry, ebony, padauk, and live-edge slabs. If a species you want is unavailable at the time of your build, we will offer the closest alternatives before any material is purchased or cut.
What resin styles are available?
We offer solid color pours, geode and marbled effects, deep ocean river pours, metallic pigment pours, and glow-in-the-dark resin work. Each style uses UV-resistant epoxy cured in layers. The builder lets you describe your preferred look and we will confirm feasibility with your selected wood pairing.
What is the standard finish?
All tabletops receive a high-build polyurethane top coat by default. This creates a durable, waterproof, and heat-resistant surface. Matte, satin, or gloss sheen options are available. If you want a raw oil or Danish oil finish instead, note it in your builder submission.
Do the prices in the builder include shipping?
No. The builder estimates base production pricing. Shipping is calculated separately based on your zip code, table dimensions, and weight. We include an accurate shipping estimate in your quote before any payment is collected.
How long does a custom build take?
Typical lead times are 2–6 weeks from deposit approval. Simpler single-wood-species pieces take less time. Multi-species builds, large river tables, and pieces with complex embed work take longer. We will give you a firm production timeline with your quote.
Can I add a base or legs to my order?
Yes. Base and leg upgrades are available as premium add-ons in the builder. Options include hairpin legs, steel A-frame bases, and live-edge slab bases. Base pricing is separate from the tabletop and is quoted individually since it depends on your table dimensions and weight.
What if I am not happy with the final piece?
If you requested a concept preview before production and approved it, we build to match that reference. If there is a craftsmanship defect or the finished piece significantly deviates from the approved design, we will work with you to resolve it. See our refund policy for full details on resolution options.
